Picture Heavy Update

Okay, sorry for all the picspam, but I haven't posted in a while. Oops. :) Anyway, I haven't been doing much quilting lately. Erg. I have done a few cakes for my mom's coworkers though. They REALLY love chocolate, so these cakes were all chocolate with chocolate buttercream frosting.


This was a birthday cake for a 5-year-old boy.



And this was a 4th of July cake. :)



Here's a silly picture of one of my dogs. Just for the hell of it.



And last, here's a couple pictures of my Grandmother's Flower Garden progress. I'm still not sure I like the blue ones. The second fabric doesn't really jive with the purple and pinks, but we'll just have to see. I might have to go out and buy some repro fabrics and make new blue ones.

I finally finished the baby quilt! It only took way too many years from start to finish. But it's done. Thankgod. :) I finished the binding tonight then washed and dried it, and it will go to my mom's house tomorrow for my niece to play with when she's over there.





Yay! Now to make a second one for my coworker's granddaughter. This one should go be a lot faster seeing as how I already have all the blocks made. :)

Just a quick update. Here's what I've accomplished this morning!

- Made diabetic-friendly Cinnamon Roll Bread for Mom.
- Made 48+ feet of pink flowery binding for my baby quilts.
- Did most of the dishes cluttering the counter.

Let's see what else I can get done before the boyfriend shows up for the day. :)

Not a lot of quilting lately, I'm afraid. I do have two Valentines Day cakes that I made though. Both are VERY girly looking. I think my diabetes worsened just by LOOKING at these things. Look at how sweet and lovey dovey they look.

More cake, and the baby quilt

I haven't gotten much quilting done since I went back to work. It sucks my shutdown is over, but at least I'm making money again. Yay money! Anyway, I did do another cake at my class two weeks back. Kinda the same colors as Jimmy's cake, but different design.


And on the 'unfinished' front, here's the top to the baby quilt I started waaaaay too long ago. I've trimmed it up and I just need to make the binding and attach it.

Not-a-quilt!

Definitely not a quilt. :) But it's almost as good!
I just finished decorating this for my boyfriend as a little pick-me-up cause work sucks. Everyone deserves cake when they have sucky days at work.



It's a chocolate cake with mint buttercream frosting and decorations.

First up, it's more progress on the Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt. Harry is helping out by inspecting the flower patches.




And here's a couple small table runners I started last night. I used some scraps left over from a baby quilt that is still sitting waiting for it's binding...

Here's a picture of the quilt top I've been meaning to finish for about... 4 years now. It's a gift to my mom.... and someday I'll get it done.
